Trainer Momma

Hey I wanted you guys to look at a new website that I just discovered at work literally right now, because I was wanting to compare my phone and something else to give me a rough estimate about my calories and make sure I'm staying within my range or if I'm "way" off.....

You might know about It's really neat just do the math and you're done also I religiously follow and ( yes I use both because if I'm out I one of the apps may have the food that I'm looking for and the other doesn't so I "compare" the two. 

But My results on is:

** I used the line for "weight loss" not any other and DANG sure not " weight gain".

According to myfitness pal I can only have 1890 a day and option to eat what I burned back and I don't but some may and it's what works for you. If you aren't sure I would try it and if you don't see a difference or like it then try it w/o eating your cals back.

"will never know till you test it out" everyone is not built the same! (That sucks, I could have sworn I requested Kim K's ass on my body...LORD didn't you hear my prayer request last night?!!!) oh well, such is life!! HAHA!! (don't judge me cause I used ASS and LORD in the same sentence, ASS is a DONKEY.. didn't you know that..,DUH lol)

Learning to breathe while running>>> I thought this was super helpful

Hey I found this post on POPSUGAR (cute name huh?) to be super helpful ( I guess I should have read this a while back, oh well never too late.

The girl that wrote it is named Heather Dale and she knows her stuff.

**Ever wonder why some days you feel like an energizer bunny and can keep running and running, while other days your legs feel like lead and you have zero stamina( hello is that not the question of the year)? Certainly the amount of sleep you got the night before, stress levels, and diet play a role in how you perform during your runs, but how you regulate your breath during your jogging session also effects your energy levels. Here's how to power your muscles with fresh oxygen on each stride.

1) Learn to breathe deeply: Your lungs are just a bit smaller than your ribcage, but we all tend to use just the top third of the lung. One reason being that, like all muscles, the intercostals, which run between the ribs, can get tight and inflexible, limiting the expansiveness of your lungs. When you take a deep breath, you are expanding the lungs, pressing down the diaphragm, and causing your abdomen to expand as your lungs fill with air. Learning to breathe this way helps you take in lots of oxygen while running, preventing dizziness and nausea. With a little training and some stretching you can breathe to your full potential to increase your endurance. Cross-training with noncardio workouts like yoga and Pilates can also help you learn to breathe from your diaphragm. Here are some tips for how to conquer diaphragmatic breathing.

Here's what else you can do to control your breathing during runs.
  1. Match your breathing to your steps: For an easy-paced run, inhale for three or four steps then exhale for the same amount. Count the steps in your head while you adjust to breathing on tempo. If you are running more intensely, your breathing tempo will increase to support your increased energy output and become faster — a breath in for one to two steps and out for one to two steps. If you can't match your steps to your breathing tempo then you are trying to run too fast; slow down, and get back into your rhythm. Rhythm is key!
  2. Breathing in the cooler temps: It's important to breathe through your nose while running in chillier weather because cold air is dry and breathing through your mouth increases the dryness while decreasing the temperature of the air. Since your lungs do not like dry air, you can experience asthma-like symptoms, like wheezing and coughing, when breathing cold air in through your mouth. Breathing through your nose not only filters out air impurities, but also warms cool air to body temperature, creating less shock for the lungs to decrease those asthma-like symptoms.
  3. How to breathe through your nose: If nose breathing is difficult for you, start experimenting with the technique now before the temperature drops drastically. Breathing through the nose helps you breathe more deeply and efficiently, which will ultimately help your running no matter what the temperature is. If you plan to run in cold temps and have yet to master nose breathing, you can try wearing a bandanna (or a shirt that can be pulled up far) over your nose and mouth to help trap the moisture of your breath and humidify the air before it reaches your lungs.

**MY TIP:  Run with friends and you'll run far and long and not think twice about it, cause you'll have someone there. ***

Belly fat food ideas!!!!

This is pretty cool!!! It'll def make grocery shopping easy Friday! Lol

Lawd knows I need to eat this stuff more then I have been lately!

Oh what a weekend!!!!

Hey guys,

I had so much fun this weekend with my wonderful friends and family. Yes, we did our FireFly Run so I can finally shut up about it. LOL!! We had such a great time (like we knew we would)

                                           Friday I got some much needed nails done!!

                                      I'm sorry but after 3 hours of being there I had to hit Taco Bell up....I know I know........But it was worth all the calories( I won't surprise you....I ate like crap all day) just saying!

                                            Then went home annnnd slept from 12:00p til 4:30p( slept with my bran)

  I couldn't wait to get up and get my gear on and run with my DIVAS!!! (I know the anticipation of  how these outfits turned out is just killing ya!)  theeeeeeee reveal!!!!!!!!!!

                  YAAAAAYY!!!! We loved it! and OMG it was so packed at The Shops of Legacy it was crazy, stupid fun!!! We are already planning on it next year.

We finished it in 35 mins.... hey that's awesome to us. Even tho I got a little sick feeling towards the end... I'm telling you at that moment I knew I for sure had (not like I didn't know) the BEST friends in the WHOLE WORLD!!! They grabbed my hand and ran with me all the way till the finish line!!!! Even, when I thought I was going to vomit everywhere!!! They encouraged me thru it!! I love them soooooo much!!!!

So, after 3 hours of workouts that morning and 1 5k and 1 taco bell trip later!!!! We decided we wanted a DANG cheeseburger!!!! See, I told you I ate like crap!!!

                                                    Boy IN N OUT is worth it too!!!

After good talks and laughs we headed home and rested our sore bodies!!! What a great weekend!!

Amazing Meatballs!!!!!

Hey guys! I found this receipe from Food network-Rachel Ray: of course I tweeked it cause I wanted a little more flavor and not have mine too dry! She used all extra lean sirlion meat!

Start with getting a large mixing bowl!

1 pound of lean Ground beef
1 pound of ground sweet italian sausage
1 pound of ground turkey
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of Feta
1 cup of Seasoned italian bread crumbs
1 small onion minced
2 cloves of garlic minced
1/2 tsp of oregano
1/4 cup of fresh basil mix

*Mix all ingredients by hands
Form into golf ball sized meatballs
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes

Super easy n yummy!!!!!!

I'm so stinkin happy!!!! Love brownies

Slimmed Down Brownies
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons espresso
1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
I found this recipe in Shape and was curious to see how Greek yogurt would fare in brownies.
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil; spray foil lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, salt,and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes, or until combined. Add egg, egg whites, vanilla and coffee. Continue beating until incorporated.
  4. Scrape down sides of the bowl and reduce mixer speed to low. Slowly add flour mixture to the bowl, followed by yogurt, and mix gently until combined. The batter will be thick.
  5. Stir in chocolate and walnuts if using. With a spatula, spread mixture evenly in pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of pan comes out dry. Cool on a wire rack before removing from pan and slicing into 16 squares.
Recipe makes 16 2-inch by 2-inch servings.

What a Weekend!! Sad it's over):

Well I had a really good weekend I must say, and I was sick, running fever (the whole 9) and still this was just a fun weekend...

Friday night we all met Leann at 24 hour fitness and helped her record a video for her new certificationcalled CX Works( omg, I was dying) those plank poses kick yo butt man!!!!! They should be called "Military planks"! Surprisingly I was not a sore the next day like I thought I would be!!Dammit, that meant I really had to show up to step/turbo the next morning, cause I had no excuse, HAHA!! (kidding shelly)!! So we video taped and my poor Leann was not happy with it ( which I think she did AWESOME) She didn't like it so we agreed we would come back Sunday and re-record!!!

Oh Oh Oh if y'all wanted to know what CX Works is go to!!!

Saturday was way toooooooo much fun I don't even know where to start!!! I guess me at my fav places is as good as any!! Me and the girls enjoyed our Saturday butt kicking with a little step/turbo/body pump ( I didn't stay for Body Pump, but sounds good, right?) lol..!!

And of course I flew home to eat a good breakfast and take a much needed nap with my baby
After that wonderful refreshing nap, I got up and met my beautiful Friend Jennifer for lunch at Country Burger in Murphy!!! Yaaay another one of my Fav spots and Lord knows I'm there way to often!!  There's one in Plano, Texas too and too close to my job! Ugh!! So we had a great lunch and nice conversations too!
After our nice lunch Jen and I head to several stores to start shopping for our run ! If anyone hasn't heard me mention like 5 million times!!!!!! WE ARE RUNNING THE FIREFLY 5K RUN THIS SATURDAY 3/23/13 @ 8:30 pm yesss a night run! We are too excited about this because this is our first run at night!!! This year they have a lot of new things.

Needless to say this run gave me and Jen the excuse to shop and go crazy! And boy did we shop till we dropped!! We shopped for 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!! Yessssss it's true we did! OMG we went everywhere! DICK'S SPORTING GOODS, HOBBY LOBBY, WALMART, TARGET, ROSS, and MICHAEL'S...just to give you a few OH forgot about PARTYCITY!!!

 We had way too much fun y'all!!

                              After 30 stores we finally found the matching socks at Dick's Sporting Goods!! yaay!!!!

Oh and me and Jen just couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by and say hello to our beautiful chevron fitness clothes they had displaying(we really don't like chevron) hahahahaha lol!!!

                                                  Isn't that cute?!!!! LOL!!

After stopping at Dick's Sporting good we got thristy and stopped in a McDonalds for a few drinks, just to keep our energy up cause hey.....we still had a little shopping to do! lol


Lord after that when we got to PARTY CITY it was all over and we went bonkers and had tooooo much fun that we didn't think we would ever come out of there.

See you can't send us shopping alone!!! never never never!!  I loved that darn TUTU I didn't want to take it off!! I think for a second I fulfilled my dreams of being a ballerina! lol!! Kidding!! But I did draw a small crowd of little girls who thought it was cute too! LOL

                                       They even had a Nikki Minaj wig!! Loved it? Me as a blonde is a NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, after being in party city going from aisle to aisle we found everything we needed, plus more! Party City is the best place to shop for out of everywhere to me and so much cool stuff to play with too! As you could tell!!! babaahhaaaah! Just seeing if you noticed!!! I really think I tried on every wig they had in pink!!

Next, Time I'm going to tell them they need to get a Mohawk in pink too! I was upset that they had it in every color except pink! Darn, them!

Well, we headed home and I got the urge to start working on Jen's shirt for the run!!! What do y'all think?!

 I love it!!!! Hell I did surprisingly well!! So Sunday I headed to 24 hour fitness (running late and in flip flops) lol I had my shoes in my hand!! LOL!! YYYAAAAAYY LEANN did amazing SUNDAY with her tape!! SHE is so going to pass!! But boy for some reason that workout was harder then FRIDAY's workout, Remember I said I wasn't sore Saturday morning? UUMMMM I'm sore today!

SOOOOOOO after 2 insanity workouts, CXworks, I got DETERMINED to take my butt outside and run, and once I got there I just kept running(in my FORREST GUMP voice)!! I ended up running 5 miles!!! I know not much!! (Being funny) hell I almost died!!! I was so tired!  Y'all I couldn't take a lap without this cute little lady who is always out there with me cheering me on, every lap I would take she would give me a thumbs up!!!

Well, I was done and headed home pretty darn proud that I could rest and get my butt up for Monday morning and get my week going!!!

I had a good weekend!!

My own "fat girl Tuesday"!

Well my Tuesday started out like most...I ate my very healthy breakfast! Like so...... Good right?

So I'm doing good going on by my day then all of a sudden the phone rings and its the hub and he wants to go to lunch and have this:::.......Oh no I'm in trouble, popeyes is one of my favorite places!! Yummy gotta love that Louisiana flavor!! haha!!

Ohhhhh noooooooo!!! Not Popeyes. Oh lord could this day of bad eating get any worse?!??
Ok you asked soooooo your answer!!!! Hellllllll yesssssss I didn't stop at Popeyes trust me.......after I filled my fat gut with the above...I then indulged in this..........

Yes it is..... A big fatty chocolate 820 calorie milkshake. I suck I know..... And trust me I felt the pain and torture of what I ate cause by this point I felt like this....

So that made me feel like her all over again and I was feeling down on myself for mistreating my body.

Me at 226LBS!! and Leann all hot and gorgeous as usual..enough to make you sick!! lol hahaha love her!

Yup I ate my self to sickness so that's pretty much how I felt the rest of my work day.  Then yaaaaaay. The heavens opened and dropped this place in my life!!!!!

Then I said I need to work this bad day off...!!! So I headed to my favorite spot where I could do just that!!!! Heeeey loa with all my divas!!!!! Here I knew  I was gone get that butt kicking I so desperately needed and Leann made sure of that!!!!

Being at loa I was back into my element and I knew I could start all over and put this "sinful food day" behind me for good!!!!!

After my long workout I headed home, by this point I was on cloud 9 again cause I got my workout in....... and burned that day baby.......

Got home and had a wonderful dinner that the husband made( and healthy too) hell it should have been after he had me at popeyes!! lol
Yup ate every last drop!!! Don't judge me!!

Ended my "crazy fat girl day" laying next to my angel and swore to myself that if I'm blessed to see tomorrow I will treat my body better. But we are only human, right?

So enjoy yourself, I'm not saying not too, but know you worked hard to get where you are and it's ok to go off every once in a while, just jump back on tomorrow and keep going. NO need to feel guilt. Just live a little and you have to laugh at yourself sometimes!!!
